3DPrintCHCH provides custom 3D printing, product development, prototyping and manufacturing services.
Almost everything we make is custom, so these terms provide a practical framework for taking work from an initial idea or supplied design through to finished parts and production.
Your existing designs, drawings, images, specifications and confidential business information remain yours.
We treat information supplied for your project as confidential and use it only as reasonably required to carry out your work.
We are also happy to enter into a bilateral Non-Disclosure Agreement where required and can provide our standard NDA.
Where development is required, we can help take an idea through design, CAD, prototyping, testing and refinement to production-ready form.
Our product-development capability comes from more than 30 years of product-development experience and over eight years of commercial 3D printing.
We are equally happy to manufacture directly from customer-supplied designs.
We normally begin by developing successful prototypes into practical in-house production. As production requirements grow, 3DPrintCHCH can act as your manufacturing agent, expanding production through our established network of local and international manufacturing partners.
Our prices are designed to remain competitive while providing professional commercial-quality work.
Quoted prices take precedence over these general prices.
Unless otherwise quoted or specified:
Actual settings, materials, wall thickness, infill and print speeds are selected to suit the part and its intended use.
Our quotations are based on the information and requirements available when quoted.
Changes to quantities, specifications, materials, design or scope may require the price or delivery time to be revised.
For development projects, we may request approval at key stages such as design, prototype and production. Changes requested after an approved stage may incur additional charges.
Our pricing, technical recommendations, production methods and other commercially sensitive information contained in quotations are confidential. Quotations may be shared internally or with professional advisers where reasonably necessary for the project.
Acceptance of a quotation, payment of a deposit, issuing us with a purchase order or instructing us to proceed constitutes acceptance of these Terms of Trade.
Because our work is custom-made, payment is normally required when confirming an order.
For larger manufacturing orders we may accept a minimum 50% deposit to proceed, with the balance payable before delivery unless otherwise agreed.
Approved account customers may receive payment terms to the 20th of the month following invoice. Credit approval may require completion of our credit application.
We may suspend work or delivery where an account is overdue, and reasonable recovery costs may be charged to the customer.
3D printing and other manufacturing processes have normal variations in dimensions, finish, colour and material behaviour.
Where particular tolerances, strength, finish, certification or other critical requirements apply, these must be identified before manufacture so they can form part of the agreed specification.
Where a customer supplies the design, the customer remains responsible for its function, suitability and intended use. We will normally point out any obvious manufacturing or design issue we identify.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, designs created by 3DPrintCHCH, including CAD files, drawings, models and design solutions, remain the property of 2C Light Co Ltd.
The customer is licensed to use those designs to manufacture and sell the resulting products, but may not sell, assign or license the underlying design or CAD files without our agreement.
Customer-supplied designs and pre-existing intellectual property remain the customer's. Where we design a component specifically as part of a customer's existing product, equipment or system, that component design belongs to the customer.
Where 3DPrintCHCH has undertaken product development or created the production design, we ask that we are given a reasonable first opportunity to quote for ongoing manufacture or to act as manufacturing agent before production is placed elsewhere.
There is no obligation to accept our quotation.
Our production techniques, settings, workflows, manufacturing methods and know-how have been developed over many years and remain confidential and proprietary to 3DPrintCHCH.
Providing a product, prototype, quotation or manufacturing service does not transfer ownership of that know-how.
Our normal design and manufacturing services do not include patent, registered-design, trade mark or other intellectual-property registration or advice.
Customers are responsible for deciding whether additional protection is required and for obtaining appropriate professional advice.
Where patent or registered-design protection may be important, this should be considered before publicly disclosing, marketing or selling the product.
All work is supplied subject to applicable New Zealand law.
If there is a manufacturing defect or quality problem attributable to our work, we reserve the right to repair, reprint, replace or refund the affected work as appropriate.
We are not responsible for delays resulting from customer changes, late approvals or circumstances reasonably outside our control.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit or loss of opportunity.
Where goods or services are acquired from us in trade for business purposes, the parties agree that the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 will not apply where it is fair and reasonable for them to contract out of that Act.
Nothing in these terms excludes rights that cannot legally be excluded.
If a quotation or other written agreement expressly varies these terms, that agreed variation applies to that project.
These Terms of Trade are governed by New Zealand law.
The Terms of Trade published at 3dprintchch.co.nz/terms.html when the customer accepts our quotation, pays a deposit, issues a purchase order or instructs us to proceed apply to that order.
